Use the same vehicle brief
Give each provider the same vehicle details, affected panels, location and known repair history. Explain whether glass damage or paintwork is involved and whether an estimate already exists. Ask for a written scope rather than comparing totals for different work. Record excluded panels and items still subject to inspection.
Ask who does the work
Confirm the business identity, inspection location and who will perform or coordinate the repairs. Ask about experience with comparable vehicles and any qualifications the provider claims. Request the terms of any warranty in writing. This referral resource does not represent manufacturer approval or certify every provider.
Plan communication and changes
Identify the person who updates you, how unexpected damage is discussed and who authorizes additional work. Ask about vehicle custody, parts delays and collection arrangements. Do not assume a rental, pickup or promised completion date without direct confirmation. Keep copies of the proposal and agreed changes.
Decide with the full scope in view
Compare methods, documentation, exclusions and practical arrangements alongside price. A cheap offer with unclear responsibilities may not be comparable to a detailed proposal. You decide whether to hire an independent provider; submitting a free request does not commit you to repair or authorize work.
