Describe paint, glass and panel concerns
If paint appears cracked, chipped or previously repaired, include that information along with the visible dents. Describe broken glass separately and tell the provider if you have already arranged glass service. Do not assume the entire vehicle needs repainting, or that intact-looking paint guarantees PDR suitability. A provider must evaluate the panels and explain the available repair approaches. Keep the request factual: affected areas, visible condition, known repair history and what work is already authorized.
Separate the items in the proposal
Ask which areas require conventional repair, refinishing, replacement or further inspection. Request clarity on parts, paintwork, related labor and anything excluded. Discuss color matching and finish expectations with the repairer rather than treating a photo as a guarantee. If multiple shops are involved, identify who coordinates the handoff and who is responsible for each part of the work. Get approval procedures for changed scope in writing before additional work begins.
Confirm the repair and collection process
Ask about inspection arrangements, parts availability, updates and the final review of your vehicle. Confirm what documents you receive at completion and which warranty terms apply to the work offered. If an insurance estimate exists, show it to the provider privately and ask how differing findings are documented. Coverage and claim decisions remain with the insurer. This resource introduces independent providers; it does not perform body work or determine whether a panel must be replaced.
